There are five key stages to building a website with d3creative, each stage requires approval before moving on to the next. This straight forward approach makes sure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
1. Initial planning
I will create two documents, a website content document and a site map based on the information provided from the online estimate form. With your input we can quickly pin down the features and content you require.
2. Wireframing
Wireframing is the first step in the design process. Wireframes are simple black and white layouts, they don’t contain any design elements. Wireframes are useful because client feedback is based purely on the content of each page, not the design. At the end of this stage you will have an interactive wireframe of your website.
3. Design
Nearly all modern websites use templates to control the way content is displayed. A 30 page website might need four templates, I’d only mock-up four designs to show how each page template would look.
4. Coding
Once the page template designs are approved and I have all the content required the site will quickly take shape. For approval purposes you will temporarily be able to view your website on a subdomain hosted on the d3creative servers.
5. Cross-browser testing
I code my websites to conform with web standards. All modern browsers also conform to web standards, this ensures your website will look the the same in any modern browser.
Unfortunately, older browsers do not support web standards, this is where cross-browser testing comes into play. Before your website is launched it will be tested in a variety of browsers to make sure it displays as expected.
